Identity Infrastructure

Before the World told me who to Be.

Identity is not something we build. It is something we remember.

Before the World told me who to Be.

For most of my life, I thought identity was something I needed to build.

Now I think identity is something we remember.

Somewhere along the way, many of us stop asking who we are and start asking who we need to become.

We become what our families expect.

We become what our industries reward.

We become what our circumstances require.

We become what helps us survive.

And survival is useful.

Until one day it isn't.

Because eventually, the roles that protected us begin to confine us.

The version of ourselves that helped us fit in starts preventing us from standing out.

The version that helped us belong starts costing us authenticity.

The version that helped us survive starts keeping us from thriving.

The biggest shift in my life did not happen when I changed jobs.

It did not happen when I moved countries.

It did not happen when I started a business.

It happened when I started asking a different question.

Before the world told me who to be, who was I?

That question changed everything.

Because identity is not built on performance.

It is built on truth.

And the closer I get to my own truth, the lighter my life becomes.

Not because life is easier.

Because I am no longer carrying people I was never meant to be.
